ACCURACY OF THE
PHOTOGRAMMETRIC SURVEY
The accuracy
obtainable in photogrammetric surveys depends
on the scale and type of photography, the
instruments used, the skill of the compiler, the
density of ground control, the amount of relief,
and the nature of the vegetative cover. These
factors relate to the data taken from the
photographs.
It is axiomatic that "the greater the
accuracy, the greater the cost." The scale
of the photography for each project, therefore,
should be commensurate with the accuracy
required.
Accuracy requirements could be custom
specified or referred to some of the known
STANDARDS.
